I am a certified coach and career development professional with a background in marketing. As well as running my coaching business, I am a career consultant for a leading Australian university. Prior to that I worked within professional services marketing, helping my clients to market themselves and their services.
Mine is a unique skill set which I bring to bear in my one on one coaching sessions with clients. While I use the traditional methods that you would associate with a coach such as powerful questioning, holding space for you to come to your own realisations and keeping you accountable to your goals, I also draw on my consulting and marketing expertise, to help you get clarity on what you have to offer the world. If I can see you really struggling with something and I have the answer, I will tell you. I know how short you are on time, and how desperate you are to make this happen, so I will help you reach your goals in any way that I can.
I work with my coaching clients, one-on-one over zoom, or face-to-face depending on location. In order for us to get to know one another and for you to have a taste of what it’s like to have coaching with me, I offer a no-obligation initial consultation of 30 minutes. Click here to book.
We’ll then start the coaching series by setting one or two inspiring goals together. I know that for us mamas it is very difficult to separate work from the rest of our lives, so the benefit of working with a holistically trained coach like me is that you are able to set both life and career goals. For example, you may wish to have a goal that focuses on your career, maybe finding a new flexible job but perhaps you would also benefit from revamping your self-care practices (I find those two work really well together actually).
Coaching is right for you if you are:
- Ready to commit to your career change and do the work to make it happen
- Prepared to invest your time and your money into having a life and career that is more like you
- Looking for personalised support from a career development expert who has made the shift herself
- Open and ready to step outside of your comfort zone
Coaching is not for you if:
- You want a quick fix
- You want to be given the answers
- You aren’t prepared to invest your time in doing the work

Have questions about coaching with me? Please check the following FAQ or feel free to contact me if you have any questions not answered.
Isn't this all a bit self indulgent?Well to be honest, when I was unhappy in my career and first pondered on the idea of seeing a coach it felt very self-indulgent. So many people are miserable in their job and I wondered why I should be any different? It really depends on what your priorities are in life. I knew that I spent too long at work to be miserable and that it was affecting the rest of my life. And that this, in turn, was affecting the way I parented and my ability to show up for others in my life. If you feel the same then that isn’t self-indulgent at all. My coaching packages cost less than some fancy spa weekends away but the benefits will last much, much longer.
Is coaching the same as counselling? No and I would always recommend that if you are feeling depressed or suffering from a mental health condition that you speak to your GP and/or seek the support of a qualified counsellor or psychologist. Life and career coaches are not healthcare professionals but they do work with you to clarify goals and identify obstacles and problematic behaviours that are getting in the way of achieving them. The process of coaching takes the client’s current starting point as an acceptable neutral ground and is then oriented towards actions that move the client forwards to achieving a particular goal or goals.
Can't I learn all of this by reading a book?Well, there are a lot of books on the market that are a great resource for career changers and job hunters. If you’re not sure, or unable to make the investment in coaching then you should certainly try some out. In fact if you want to contact me I can even recommend some to you. However, a book is not going to check in with you every two weeks, it is not going to ask you tough questions that make you think and it is not going to give you feedback in the way that working with a coach can.
Will you tell me what job I should do?In a word no. But through the work we do together I will be able to give you insights and ideas to help you make your own decisions. As a career coach, I will never tell you what to do. My role is to help you set goals, challenge you to think differently and hold you accountable. There is no magic wand in this process and you will need to do the work if you want to get the most out of coaching.
Which of your packages are best for me - 3 months or 6 months? We will discuss what package is right for you in the complimentary consult before you begin coaching. It really depends on your situation, your goals and how much time you have to dedicate to the process. For example, if you are looking to totally change your career and your goal is to actually be in that job, and by the way you have two toddlers, then I would recommend the six month package, as well as a healthy dose of self-expectation management. Mums of toddlers are busy and a total career change is a big undertaking for anyone. If, on the other hand, you are looking to explore what careers are right for you and have a plan in place for working towards that career change then three months might work. Whatever your goal or package you choose, you will end your coaching series in a really supported way with a plan and strategies that you can take with you. You will also have a 30 minute follow up session with me at a later date so we can see how you are going.
How much time do I need for coaching? We will meet once a fortnight for an hour for either three months or six months, depending on the package you sign up for. So you need to be able to commit to this time. However, the real magic happens in between sessions when you take action (in other words do some homework) towards your goals. The success of your coaching program and the ability to achieve your goals is totally dependent on the time and commitment you put into the process. That said, I know how incredibly busy us mums are so I will work with you to plan out what you’re going to do and how you’re going to-do it. I will also pass along lots of time saving hacks that have worked for me.
Do I need to pay upfront? I know this is a big investment and us mums can be on a tight budget. I would hate for you to miss out on this opportunity because you couldn’t afford to pay upfront. I will invoice you for the first two sessions before we begin coaching and will then invoice you every 4 weeks thereafter. Unfortunately, if you are not paid up for one of your sessions before it commences then I will need to postpone our session until payment is made. However, I would always invite you to contact me if you are having difficulties with payment, or maybe just forgot to do that transfer. Oops.
Can I reschedule a session? We all get busy and with children the unexpected will crop up. I would ask you to please give me as much notice (24 hours minimum) before rearranging a session. I will encourage you not to leave too long between sessions though because that is when momentum can be lost.
